SYNOPSIS: A shameful red line in the Mediterranean. Two foreign poems. Three deep feelings: impotence, anger, sadness. One hundred pigeons. Thousands of exoduses. Zero Human Rights. So many memories destroyed and only one desire.

SINOPSIS: Una vergonzosa línea roja en el Mediterráneo. Dos poemas extranjeros. Tres sentimientos: impotencia, rabia, tristeza. Cien palomas. Miles de éxodos. Cero Derechos Humanos. Tantas memorias destruidas... y un solo deseo.

DESCRIPCIÓN: Las ciudades son como las personas, cuanto más las conoces más las amas. Tal vez por eso el conflicto que se desarrolla en Siria desde 2011 me ha afectado más que otros. Pude visitar el país un año antes de que comenzase esta masacre y guardo un entrañable recuerdo de sus gentes y de sus ciudades: Damasco, Aleppo, Sergilla, Apamea, Hama, Palmira, Bosra… Las imágenes que tomé entonces de la vida cotidiana, volvieron a mi memoria durante la lectura de los dos poemas que entrelazan este trabajo, surgido de un deseo [un aullido de llamada a la paz] y de la necesidad de hacer visible que siguen muriendo personas cada día y desapareciendo tesoros que forman parte de la memoria más antigua del patrimonio de la humanidad, cuna del primer alfabeto y la primera notación musical. Y es que, cuando la noticia deja de ser espectáculo, desaparece de la agenda informativa y de nuestras manipulables mentes y, una vez invisibilizada, fácilmente la olvidamos.

JUSTIFICACIÓN: Como en las tragedias clásicas, un coro de voces en distintos idiomas [español, inglés, francés, alemán, italiano, portugués, griego y árabe], recita el pensamiento de las emociones y la reflexión social de los individuos afectados por el éxodo, situando el contexto y dando voz a los que no la tienen.
